Obama's Education Plan Provides Free Grants and Scholarship for Mothers

Obama's new goal of education is to focus on allowing mothers to get a college degree that they otherwise will not be able to afford. Most endorsers of the plan stress getting moms out of their home and into the workforce to better their family's financial position. They tout the benefits of getting mothers educated to provide a new career and a better life for their family outside of the home. However, even moms who desire to stay home can take advantage of the new plan to benefit their families.

It is difficult to find time to travel to classes when you are staying home raising your children. Even after a degree is earned many moms do not want to leave their young children in someone else's care. The financial burdens on many families conflict with a mother's desire to care for her children. Obama's plan can help alleviate the financial burden of higher education while providing necessary training. But how can a mother better her situation while considering the welfare of the children?

Mothers don't have to leave home to get educated and they don't have to leave home once they have their degree. Obama's education plan allows stay-at-home moms to use the newly assigned federal money to take online classes. This will keep mothers in the home without the added burden of daycare costs.

The newly attained degree would then allow mothers to work from home if they desired. This workforce will be able to care for their children and increase their family's income at the same time.
